I started competing in NPC Figure in August 2007 (yes, only 2 short months after that sad before picture!!) Little by little I made small progress from show to show...after all, I was doing it all on my own...guessing at my diet...getting posing techniques off of photos on line, and reading articles about competing. Show after show, I was happy with the fact that I made progress from the show before it, but I wasn't really making an impression on stage to the judges.
2nd year competing I decided to do Fitness, which was my goal in the first place. Finally towards the end of my season in 2008 I had a few different people ask me who I was working with because they saw the potential I had, but that I needed some help (and BOY, did I!)
The BEST THING that could have ever happened to me in this sport was to be accepted on to Dr. Michael Feulner's team of competition girls. Heading into the season with a team of people backing you, as well as having a plan laid out for you makes the road to success a little less bumpy. Now, that's not to say it's going to be any easier...because it's not. You still have to put in the work and follow the plan...but having a personalized plan definitely helps. Anything I needed, all I had to do was call/text/email Mike and Team and I had an answer or response in 24 hours. They were there for ME. I am so happy with my results so far that I have no plans on going anywhere...except to the top with Dr. Feulner and his team.
I am in the BEST SHAPE of my life because of this training and diet plan. The same people who look at me and think I'm crazy for training like this, are the same people who envy and admire me for who I've become. All thanks to Dr. Mike Feulner! J
